This is a piece that is often performed on celebratory or auspicious occasions among Noh plays. A scene of Noh celebrating longevity and marital harmony is beautifully expressed through dance and accompaniment (instrumental accompaniment).

In this piece, the spirit of the Heian period aristocrat Minamoto no Toru appears and performs a fantastic dance while reminiscing about the beautiful scenery of Shiokama, which he once loved. It is characterized by its graceful dance and mysterious atmosphere.

[What are the Osaka City "Sakuyakonohana Award" and "Sakuyakonohana Collection"?]
The "Sakuyakonohana Award" has been awarded by the city of Osaka since 1983 to young artists who will lead Osaka culture in the future. In order to allow people to experience the charm of the "Sakuyakonohana Award" winners, who are Osaka's precious human assets, the "Sakuyakonohana Collection" is held several times a year as a venue for presentations.
