ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The story world of Bunraku puppet theater, woven through Gidayu-bushi and puppet theater, has inspired many artists and served as the subject of their creative work. This exhibition will feature a variety of Bunraku-related paintings, carefully selected from the collections of Bunraku performers and the National Bunraku Theatre. Enjoy the colorfully depicted aesthetic world of Bunraku.

Kazuo Yoshida (Bunrakuza puppeteer), Toyotake Rositayu (Bunrakuza tayu), and approximately 60 paintings by modern and contemporary artists on the theme of Bunraku, from the collection of the National Bunraku Theater.
