The strongest one-man play festival, gathering the best from all over the country...
The "Strongest One-Man Play Festival = INDEPENDENT" has been held every November since 2001, based at the Independent Theater, which attracts attention from all over the country for its conceptual theater-produced works and aggressive activities. This unique festival, where actors and scriptwriters and directors compete in solo acts of various genres and expressive methods, has performed more than 660 works throughout the festival so far, attracting many audiences and creators. The gem selection revival project, which is held every five years, has toured seven cities nationwide three times so far. Since 2012, a regional version led by the local community has been held, and in 2018, it has also expanded overseas. It has been held without interruption even during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, many attractive works have been invited from each regional version, and the Kansai team that will be welcoming them is also luxurious and talented, and they will put on a hot competition that you cannot miss in the mecca of one-man plays!
