<Synopsis>
Tokugawa Yoshimune (Matsudaira Ken) hides his identity and becomes the third son of a poor samurai, Tokuda Shinnosuke. One day, as a freeloader in the Megumi group, he goes out to town as usual and meets a town girl, O-Kayo (Kiri Kitasho, Minori Otonami / double cast). At the same time, a girl from the countryside, Ochika (Junna Ito), comes to the Megumi group, which is run by the young group leader Chozaburo (Yuto Tatsumi) and his mother Natsu (Marumi Shiraishi)... At that time, Yoshimune hears a rumor that "there have been a lot of street slashers lately, and it's dangerous," and begins to investigate with the Oniwabanshu (Kentaro Araki, Naomi Mashima), despite the nagging of his chamberlain, Tanokura Magobei (Kyonosuke Masago). There, a huge conspiracy that will shake up Edo is swirling around the lord of Kurosu, Harumasa (Niwa Sadahito), and his chief vassal, Senemon (Kasahara Akira).
