Takashimaya Historical Museum

In 2020, the Takashimaya Archives celebrated its 50th anniversary. It opened on the third floor of the Takashimaya East Annex in 1970 with the aim of collecting and preserving materials since the company's founding, and making them widely available and useful. Currently, it is also the base for the Takashimaya Archives activities, which unravel the company's history, inherit its spirit and culture, and disseminate Takashimaya's basic values and culture both inside and outside the company, so that they can be shared and sympathized with. The archives store holds approximately 50,000 items, spanning a wide variety of genres, including art, department store materials, and documents from the founding family.

To mark the 50th anniversary of its opening, it has been reborn as a communication space between you and Takashimaya.
