At the western edge of the country, a girl sits on a bench at a station called "Nougyou" (farming).

"Maybe I'll head to Tokyo. Nougyou, Tokyo... the words don't sound all that different, but Tokyo is far from agriculture."

The girl abandoned the tranquil, closed-off countryside to grow up in a city that affirms desire and delusion, and is soon absorbed by it.

25 years after its premiere, this work still depicts the essence of modern times, which have become more mood-driven.

The true feelings that were supposed to have been left behind in the 20th century still live on.
